Using ChatGPT 4.0 for Free

Microsoft now makes this possible!

Microsoft has introduced a new app called “Copilot” for Android devices, which allows free access to ChatGPT 4.0.

This app is independent of the Bing mobile application and is available in the Google Play Store. An iOS version is still under development.

Main features of the Copilot app for Android:

  • Chatbot functions and text creation: Users can design texts for emails and documents, as well as use chatbot functions.
  • Image generation with DALL-E 3: The app allows the creation of images from text descriptions.
  • Access to OpenAI’s GPT-4: Unlike ChatGPT, access to GPT-4 in the Co-Pilot app is free.

Availability:

  • Android: The Copilot app is currently only available for Android users in the Google Play Store.
  • iOS: For iOS users, the same features are temporarily accessible via the Bing app.

Background: Development and Availability

  • Origin: Originally, AI integration was part of the Bing search engine. However, Microsoft dropped the Bing Chat brand in favor of a more independent Copilot experience.
  • Expansion: The launch of Copilot for mobile devices follows the renaming of Bing Chat Enterprise to Copilot.
  • iOS version: An iOS version of the app is planned; until then, iOS users can use the Bing app to access Copilot features.
